A cornerstone of its success has been its long-standing partnership with Glencore’s Ulan West underground coal mine. Coalroc has been proud to support Ulan West for many years, completing all of the site’s underground conveyor installations, as well as assisting the delivery of raise bore fan shafts. Its crews have also assisted the Outbye department with a wide range of project works, providing the flexibility and capability required to meet the evolving needs of one of Australia’s premier underground operations.

Coalroc’s team has the capability to support projects of all scales and durations, with specialist expertise in all facets of underground coal mining. Its team is experienced in delivering ventilation systems that ensure a constant supply of fresh air, control dust, dilute and remove methane and other gases, and regulate temperature for a safe working environment. Its crews are also highly skilled in secondary support, installing ground control systems that reinforce roadways, intersections and development areas to reduce hazards from ground movement and maintain safe, stable conditions.

In addition, we specialise in conveyor installations, which are the lifeline of underground coal mines, keeping coal moving efficiently while reducing downtime and manual handling. Coalroc has an outstanding track record at Ulan West, where it has successfully installed and extended all conveyor systems to the highest standards.
