A WA Government decision to back Perth-based Empire Resources’ exploration for copper in the under-explored Gascoyne region in the state’s northwest was rewarded when the company intersected shallow visible copper mineralisation in May. Empire utilised modern exploration tools and analysis to identify high-quality drill targets that had been overlooked historically.
