AT QME 2012, Marathon will be promoting its Marathon RL reusable flat-proofing rubber tyre liner. The liner was designed to improve the performance and safety of rubber tyres used on underground mining equipment and industrial machines, particularly in situations where punctures or other tyre damage may impact production. Marathon Tyres national business development manager Dean McGuiness said that the Marathon RL liners also reduced the risks associated with pneumatic tyres, including tyre explosions, and the dangers posed to staff changing flat tyres in underground mine settings.
